Πρόγραμμα MuVi Award 2021 - Music Video Awards

Το 1999, το Φεστιβάλ Ταινιών Μικρού Μήκους εισήγαγε το MuVi, το πρώτο βραβείο φεστιβάλ στον κόσμο για μουσικά βίντεο.  

Η αφορμή δόθηκε από την παρατήρηση ότι τα μουσικά βίντεο χειραφετούνταν όλο και περισσότερο από την καθαρά εικονογραφική και διαφημιστική τους λειτουργία και είχαν γίνει μια ανεξάρτητη οπτική μορφή.  

Εν τω μεταξύ, έχει γίνει φανερό ότι τα μουσικά βίντεο έχουν όντως γίνει ένα ανεξάρτητο είδος ταινίας μικρού μήκους που έχει επιβιώσει και από την παρακμή της συγγενούς του, της μουσικής τηλεόρασης.  

Αυτό το πρόγραμμα παρουσιάζει όλα τα έργα που ήταν υποψήφια για το Βραβείο MuVi 2021 και συμπληρώνεται από δύο καλλιτεχνικά εξαιρετικά βίντεο από το Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο και το Ιράν.  

Το 1ο Βραβείο MuVi απονεμήθηκε στο μουσικό βίντεο "Young Billionaires" των Deepfake, στο οποίο ένα μέλος του συγκροτήματος χρησιμοποιεί τεχνητή νοημοσύνη για να γίνει ένας Elon Musk που τραγουδά και κουνάει τους γοφούς του ανεξέλεγκτα.  

Στο «The Source of the Absolute Knowledge», που τιμήθηκε με το 2ο βραβείο, η Christine Gensheimer ανατρέχει στις πρωτοποριακές ημέρες των γραφικών υπολογιστών και παρουσιάζει με παιχνιδιάρικο τρόπο τον άνθρωπο να συναντά τη μηχανή.  

Το Βραβείο Κοινού του MuVi Online απονεμήθηκε στον Mishka Kornai για την ταινία "NOAH". Το βίντεο παρακολουθεί κάποιους ανθρώπους που μπαίνουν σε τηλεφωνικούς θαλάμους για να κάνουν τηλεφωνήματα.

Screening Program ‘MuVi Award 2021 - Music Video Awards’

In 1999 Oberhausen introduced the world’s first festival prize for music videos.  

The impulse to create this award arose out of the observation that music videos had increasingly managed to emancipate themselves from their purely illustrative and advertising function, transforming themselves into a completely independent form of visualisation.  

Today, music videos have proven themselves to be an independent short film genre that even managed to survive the decline of its midwife, music television.  

This programme gathers together all works nominated for the 2021 MuVi Award, supplemented by two artistically outstanding videos from United Kingdom and Iran.  

The 1st MuVi Prize went to the Deepfake music video “Junge Milliardäre”, in which a band member uses artificial intelligence to become a singing Elon Musk who swings his hips without restraint.  

Christine Gensheimer looks back to the pioneering days of computer graphics in “The Source of the Absolute Knowledge”, awarded 2nd prize, and playfully lets man meet machine.  

The MuVi Online Audience Award went to Mishka Kornai for “NOAH”. The video traces some people who go into telephone booths to make phone calls.
