What happens when cinema speaks in many languages, but tells stories we all recognise through the unique lens of short films?
From the struggle to find a home in a changing European city to climate anxiety and the uncertainties facing a younger generation; from love and loss to family ties, loneliness, migration and belonging; from the words we struggle to translate to the feelings we communicate without saying a word, Languages on Screen – Cinema Speaks Europe brings together stories from across Europe for 3 evenings of cinema in Nicosia, celebrating the European Day of Languages.
