UROBOROS  

Acrobatics – Contemporary Arts – Martial Arts – Theater – Music  

Artists from Germany, Italy, Mexico and Cyprus meet for one night only at ARTOS HOUSE.  

The diversity of female and male nature is typified, proposing the observer to question social and gender-specific stereotypes. Bodies merge and fuse, move apart, refuse, and after all work together towards a common goal.  

This project seeks to broaden horizons of body research emerging from the universe of circus arts and dance.

Ακροβατικά – Σύγχρονος χορός – Πολεμικές τέχνες – Θέατρο – Μουσική  

Καλλιτέχνες από τη Γερμανία, την Ιταλία, το Μεξικό και την Κύπρο συναντιούνται για μία μόνο βραδιά στο ARTOS HOUSE.  

Η ποικιλομορφία της γυναικείας και της ανδρικής φύσης τυποποιείται, προτείνοντας τον παρατηρητή να αμφισβητήσει τα κοινωνικά και έμφυλα στερεότυπα. Τα σώματα συγχωνεύονται, απομακρύνονται, αρνούνται και τελικά συνεργάζονται για έναν κοινό στόχο.  

Το έργο αυτό επιδιώκει να διευρύνει τους ορίζοντες της έρευνας του σώματος που αναδύεται από το σύμπαν των τεχνών τσίρκου και του χορού.

This project seeks to broaden horizons of body research emerging from the universe of circus arts and dance.  

Uroboros was born in 2021 and immediately faced the restrictions and prospects of a global pandemic. New cultural and geographic distances inevitably influence the development of the art project.  

A new contextual meaning appears, which raises the question of how a common narrative could be expressed by body language to bring closer the nuances of human relationships.
